The ability to move is important for learning to ice skate. Clothing that is warm but well-fitted is best. Snow suits tend to be bulky and hard to move in. Instead a pair of sweat pants or thick leggings are fine. Jeans are ok. Gloves or mittens to cover fingers are important. We want the kids to be touching the ice and getting comfortable with the surface. Normal thickness socks that cover the ankles are also the best choice.
During Toddler Skate strollers and sleds are allowed on the ice.
